For sale my Bmw r71 ww2 replica, this bike has just undergone a full restoration to a high standard by myself and it in show condition , the bike itself is a 1962 ural m62 thats a copy of the bmw R71, the bike has been registered myself correctly through dvla and is classed as historic so tax and test exempt with the correct colour and engine number on the v5, and im the first owner, right were do i start, the origional 650 6v kickstart engine binned and a rebuilt r80 electric start engine fitted, it was a low mileage good running engine but i stripped it down to fully check it over and rebuilt with new rings, all gaskets and stainless push rod tubes rocker bearings etc, all vapour blasted and refitted with peanut rocker covers, on dry building and fitting the engine in the bike i realised the oil filter cover could not be removed without basically taking the engine back out so i fitted a motoren israel external oil filter no only does it look cool its a 5 min job to change the oil and filter, and it holds 1 extra ltr of oil so it keeps the motor running nice and cool, ELECTRICS a new bmw nos loom was sourced and all run neatly through the bike with all brackets neatly welded under the tank it look origional no botches , all the switch gear and ignition switch etc are all bmw, all warning light fitted in the headlight, ive also fitted the bike with indicators , front and rear brake lights so its safe on the road, it has a brand new valeo starter fitted and a lithium battery same size as the 6v origional so it dosent look out of place and it fits in the original battery tray, the bike spins over faster than all my other airheads, motorworks micro electronic ignition fitted so it starts touch of the button, the gearbox was purchased as a complete unit fully converted and modified to fit the case by the specialist guy what builds these boxes , he used all german bearings, and new gaskets, matched with the brand new clutch plate from motorworks to match the input shart, the gearbox is also semi automatic and has reverse if anybody wanted to fit a side car, the rear bevel fully rebuild with new hub, crown wheel etc, and quality bearings and gaskets, the wheels have new bearings, seals, new tubes, new tyres, new brake shoes front and rear, all the grey on the bike is powdercoated apart from the tank,, the petrol tank has been converted to take bmw petrol taps and in tank filters either side as it origional, it origionaly only had a tap at one side so to get rid of the terrible cross over pipe underneath , then fitted with genuine 60mm bmw enamal tanks badges, the bike has been fitted with all new cables rubbers etc basicly everythings new, new plunger springs i purchased alot of parts from from old timer garage germany, all i have a folder full of receipts from the build, i fitted the side stand very sturdy also the centre stand and it sits perfect on both, im sure ive forget loads so please call or email me for any more info,, ive built a few over the years and know them inside out, the bike starts touch of the button and can easily keep up with traffic just like a bmw r80 would, the bike is in goole east yorkshire if you wanted to view, i also know a reliable courier if distance is a issue, please email or call for any more info, i also have some videos of it starting running etc if you wattsapp me
