A loving home is needed for my late Aunt’s Datsun. She bought it new in September 1979 and kept it garaged at her home in Cheltenham until she sadly passed away a few years ago. As you can see from the mileage, it was rarely used, covering about 1000miles a year, mostly for trips to the supermarket until she stopped driving it in about 2011, when it was sheeted over in her garage.
As you can hopefully tell from the photographs, it is in remarkable condition. The rear wheel arches were repaired about 15 years ago, but otherwise the paint appears original and polishes up very well despite its age and the odd trolley ding.
The interior is almost perfect, unworn and unmarked. The sheepskin covers have been on the car from new and the seats appear immaculate underneath.
The boot is very clean and still retains the spare wheel, wheel changing apparatus and toolkit.
The car retains it’s original owners manual and service book. As the car is still registered in my aunt’s name the V5 shows no previous owners.
Since collecting the car, I have replaced the clutch slave cylinder and battery. I have also rebuilt the carburettor. The car now starts, runs sweetly and drives, but will probably need some further light recommissioning to make it fully roadworthy.
Viewing is highly recommended, this is a lovely car. It can be seen at my home near Leamington Spa.
