The first Corvette debuted to the world in 1953. Since then, it has gone through an evolution—from a car with covered lights with a 3. 9-liter inline-six engine and a two-speed automatic transmission, to the round exposed lights, and in 1958 to the four-eyed design. The creation of the GM team led by Earl Harley created a legend with a fiberglass body. By 1962, 69, 015 cars were produced, with the most being made in the final production year. Under the hood was a V8 engine of 4. 6 liters, either with a four-barrel carburetor or fuel injection. The versions from 1960 to 1962 featured a redesigned rear (referring to the C2 Sting Ray) with four round headlights.
This is a brief historical context. The offered 1960 C1 in a beautiful two-tone combination has several advantages: it underwent a very high-quality complete renovation about seven years ago, so it now looks like it came out of a box. It stands out with its shapes and the quirks of its time. Moreover, it does not have a dull automatic transmission but a three-speed manual that adds authenticity to the entire experience. The engine is a small-block V8 of 4. 6 liters (328 cui) with an output of 233 hp and a torque of 407 Nm. We tested this fully functional car with a perfect engine and transmission, and we can confidently say that this is a truly beautiful example of the first Corvette available. Just register it, fill it up, and hit the road for some sunshine.
