Save this rare Punto!! I have for sale my Mk1 Fiat Punto 55 EL 6-speed.
Yes it's a 6-speed manual gearbox in a hatchback from 1994!! this is a factory model that was sold for about a year in UK after the launch of the Punto.
I haven't been able to find another for sale anywhere in the UK, it's far from a turn key driving car.
It's very much a project so it'll need to be trailered away or put on a recovery truck, it needs a head gasket and welding to the inner sill and rear bumper mounts under the boot floor. Plus the paintwork needs attention, the lacquer has peeled but the paint itself seems okay.
Interior is complete and original, with some wear to the driver's seat bolster but otherwise it's quite smart.
I did have a set of alloys on the car but I've had to use them on it's replacement, however I do have the original steel wheels to go with the car and the wheels you see will be left on to keep it rolling for loading purposes.
I've not tried to start the car in about 12 months, so assume it's a non runner however I do have a complete 1108cc engine from a low mileage written off Punto that I can include with the car.
It's a very reluctant sale of my much loved Punto, it's been a great car to us and is so rare I'd hoped to restore it but unfortunately I'm not in a position to do that now and the car needs to go.
Appreciate it's not everyone's cup of tea but someone who's a Fiat enthusiast, who's got good DIY skills to fix the car and do the welding etc.. could get themselves a exceedingly rare 90's classic.
I have lots of service history and all the keys for the car it's had lots spent on it over the years, and I hope that someone can save this car as they're rare than a Punto GT there's just 5 in the UK I'm told that are left!!
