I bought this very handsome car from Arun Motors in West Sussex in December 2021 as a Christmas present for my wife. She has always loved XJ Jaguars, mainly because of the luxurious feel and the sure-footed smoothness of the ride - reviewed as being the smoothest available short of a Rolls-Royce. (I have just replaced it with a superb XF, bought privately from our longstanding friend Jim Lewis, owner of the royal warranted London Jaguar garage JLC Motors in Herne Hill, London.)
YG04EZS had 5 previous owners; she comes with a complete service history and file of invoices. The last 2 services, including the 20-year service this year, were carried out by JLC. MoT is valid until 20 December.
The car is a joy to drive, with cream full leather upholstery, traditional walnut dashboard and door trim, heated front and rear seats, 3-position driver's seat/ wing mirror memory, 6-CD audio system, Jaguar Voice and climate control. (The air conditioning currently needs re-gassing.)
There is one minor repair outstanding. While we were driving from London to Moray on 22 September, a fuel tank strap came loose. An AA patrol carried out a robust temporary repair; we have booked the car in for a full repair on 24 October, but offer her for sale with this outstanding repair reflected in the price, as I shall shortly be having hospital treatment.
YG04EZS has a few minor scratches and dents in her bodywork, but as the photos show she remains a most attractive car, which we shall be sorry to part with.
