Never been welded and doesn't need any. The underside is great, having been garaged from new. Starts and drives well, engine sounds lovely. Matching numbers car with original panels having never been messed about with. Requires a sympathetic restoration. No structural work is required however, having been off the road since 1989, it will obviously need going through. It did have some light recommisioning work in 2004 - service, brakes, MOT etc but unfortunately never made it back on the road due to ill health.
It is very hard to find these now with 1 registered keeper from new in unrestored solid condition. This is an ideal winter project and a great starting point.
