Description
This classic Mini Clubman has been owned and loved for the last 11 years by a friend of mine who has now moved to live in Australia. I am selling the car on his behalf. He can easily be contacted and spoken to by phone, text, or email.
The Mini was first registered on 01/ 07/ 78 and is now an "historic", being both tax and MOT exempt. The car has been loved and cherished by it's mechanic owner who has spent a great deal of time and money on the vehicle. The car is now fitted with a 1275cc Metro engine which was fully professionally rebuilt and has since done 30, 000 miles.
Briefly the specification of work is as follows:
Front zinc and powder coated subframe.
Completely adjustable front suspension with HiLows and adjustable arms.
Front brakes have been upgraded to 7. 5 inch disc brakes in order to retain the 10 inch wheels.
All bushes have been replaced and Polly-Bushed in some places. Rubber has been retained on some bushes.
The engine has a fully rebuilt HIF 44 carb with a bigger needle.
Electronic ignition
Four-branch manifold by Maniflow.
Bigger exhaust fitted.
Adjustable engine-steady fitted.
The car was put on a rolling road by CCK Historic for tuning.
The car comes with original service books and all history.
Body work is essentially excellent but there are a few rust spots. Underneath has all been treated. Paintwork is original.
The interior is "tired" but all there and serviceable with original carpets etc. A very fast and quite unique early Mini Clubman with a 1275cc engine. In very original condition. Tax and MOT exempt.
