Description
Here Advertised is my 1970 Ford Cortina 1600e which I've owned for about 4-5 years. When I purchased the vehicle it was a road-worthy car which I used most weekends and the odd classic car meet. Not long after purchasing the vehicle I noticed some bubbling in the paintwork, but kept an eye on it and continued to use the vehicle. Unfortunately, after much use, the bodywork started deteriorating to the point I wasn't happy driving the Cortina anymore, so I put her aside to be fixed another day, which has never happened and the car has now sat for 2 years.
The 1600e last ran and drove in 2022, and I have videos of the car running from 2 years ago. I have not attempted to start the car, so selling it as a Non-running project. A very good project for someone, as the car is a complete project, with a cracking interior complete with a period radio. The interior looks to have been restored at some point in its time.
The Bodywork needs attention and has rust holes in places: left and right side sills are rotten, right side wheel arch, left side boot wheel well, and boot rubber seal lip. There is also bubbling on the doors, bonnet, side pillars, inside the doors, and rust under the carpet.
Selling the car as a complete project, not interested in breaking for spares. Viewing is recommended and please do ask if you have any further questions. Thanks for reading.
