I have owned this bike for 45 years and until about 10 years ago it ran fine (it was my daily commute back in the day).
It used to be entered into many classic bike shows and won a few awards for its concourse condition.
Since then it has been stored in a dry garage and I was intending to get it back in to immaculate condition (which it once was following a complete rebuild 45 years ago).
It will need a fairly easy rebuild (the internal engine should be fine).
Over the years I have bought many extra bits and it even comes with a complete spare bike and 1000's of spare parts.!
The other bike is a 250 Crusader (the sister bike of the Continental GT) which I was planning to rebuild as well, but never got around to it.
There are enough spares to probably build 2 more engines, and there is an additional spare frame.
Or the Crusader could be rebuilt if wanted.
(I have the V5's for both bikes).
I have every spare imaginable for these bikes and this is good opportunity for anyone interested in classic British bikes to grab parts which are probably no longer available.
I shall be sad to part with my first proper bike and the one I passed my test on, but I would rather it went on the better things than languishing under a dust cover!
I have tried to get a few reasonable photos, but haven't got the time to unpack each box and crate just to take photographs. If you more detailed ones let me know.
The mileage entered is only a guess, as the speedo was replaced and shows 1 mile. I couldn't afford a new bike when I was 16 so I went British whilst my friends went Japanese!.
I did spend a lot of time getting it to work reliably, but did have great fun riding the only bright red cafe racer in the area!
