MG Midget 1275, 1972, Round Wheel Arch, Red.
Very good bodywork, good paint, I have an invoice from 1991 for a respray, not sure if it's been done since but the car has spent many years dry stored, I've just machine polished it using Meguiars compound followed by Autoglym polish and the paint has come up very well with only minor imperfections.
New Hood just fitted.

Runs and drives well, slight noise on first gear but pulls ok and doesn't jump out.
Rear arches / lower rear wings, front wings, boot lid in excellent condition, doors solid, have had repairs to frames in the past, bonnet rust free but has slight mods to enable quick release clips to be fitted.
Spring hangers and floors solid.
I have a comprehensive history folder with old MOTs, tax discs & receipts going back to the late '80's for parts bought and restoration work undertaken.
There are hand written notes in the history file detailing renovation work carried out in 1989/ 90:-

Recon engine & gearbox @ 92000 Miles.
I have MOT certs going back to 1989 and the mileage in '89 was 92493, current mileage is 02882 which would suggest it's done around 10882 miles since.

Cooling system flushed and anti-freeze renewed.

Rotor Arm
Points & Condenser
Fresh Oil & Filter
K&N Air filter cleaned and re-oiled with correct K&N products.
Things not currently working:
Heater blower
Wipers
Screen wash pump
I'll endeavour to get these fixed in the next few days.
A note on the Stainless sill covers: Not really my thing but they were on the car when I bought it, first thing I did was remove them to check the sills, NS sill is fine and looks like a replacement, OS sill has had some patch repairs done in the past and although solid isn't the prettiest so I've painted them and re-fitted the covers, they are only riveted on and very easy to remove.
In summary a good solid car, starts and runs well, great colour, dash has a few small areas touched in where the original paint has cracked but its not bad, engine bay slightly scruffy but it's all solid, just a few bits of overspray from previous paint jobs.
I have a set of bumpers to go with the car, they're straight but they'll need a refurb.

Many ThanksI bought this one as I'd always wanted a red RWA and was struck by the condition of the bodywork, the rear arches and front wings are like new, someone has even fitted some plastic protectors to the edges of the front wheel arches to protect them.
It came with a box file full of tax discs, old MOTs, receipts, invoices and hand written notes detailing work carried out, back to 1989, among other things are invoices for the performance manifold, Piper cam, engine recon work, wings and rear arches. I've put all this into a proper A4 folder.
The car drives nicely and has a nice induction roar under acceleration accompanied by a good sound from the stainless exhaust.
I've just fitted a new vinyl hood and I've put an extra Tenax fastener on the front edge which is usually secured with velcro as this never stays taught.
