The Honda XRV750 Africa Twin is a dual-sports motorcycle based on the Honda NRX750, which won the Paris Dakar race four times from 1986 to 1989. The bike was launched in 1989 and became known as the RD04.

As for the power figures, the 1990 Honda XRV750 Africa Twin had installed a 742cc four-stroke liquid-cooled V-twin engine that delivered an output power of 62 hp at 7, 500 rpm and 62 Nm (46 lb-ft) at 6, 000 rpm

PS: this is a tall bike and best suited for a rider who is around 6ft tall or taller. Shorter riders will struggle at traffic lights etc. Owned since 2010, this bike was purchased in the Middle East by me. I bought two of them. Covered in dust in warehouse full of nearly new Japanese imports destined for Iran, but caught up in an embargo, so never shipped.

When I bought it is had a couple of thousand kilometres on the clock and I have done every mile on it since then, up to it’s current 67, 400. That is only a shade over 40, 000 miles.

Desert Rose, as she is called, has mainly done charity rides and has been ridden in over 30 countries by me. We have together raised many thousands for various charities,: However now not getting the use it is somebody else’s turn to enjoy her.
