Description
I have owned this Roadster (Comm No. TRA619) for nearly 15 years. Over the years we have toured extensively with the car visiting France, Germany, the Benelux and Spain. A regular visitor to classic car rallies, this Roadster presents well but it can be described as a practical workhorse rather than an immaculate hanger queen. Unfortunately the old buff log book has been lost in the mists of time, and the car's maintenance history only goes back to 1973. In my ownership the car has had a major engine rebuild (Heritage Motors, Thorney, Cambs.), new clutch, a refurbished front seat upholstered by PG Trimmers, correction bodywork and respray, and many other items detailed in the service record. All appropriate tools (starting handle, whell brace, jack, grease gun and tyre pump) are present. This is a classic vehicle I would be happy to take on an extended tour tomorrow. Growing up I have no memory of the Triumph Roadster. However, When I got into classic cars on retirement I came accross this iconic Triumph and was immediately smitten. This is a 'proper' car and turns heads everywhere. The survival rate of this car is amazing and supported by the most excellent owners club there has been no difficulty obtaining spares.
