I’m reluctantly parting with my pristinely preserved 1984 BMW 635CSI, an exclusive gem with only two previous owners (myself for the last 18 years, and one other).
This beauty has been lovingly cared for, always kept indoors and has never left the dry climate of the Madrid region. It is in remarkable condition.
A once in a lifetime opportunity for any BMW enthusiast or classic car collector.
Everything works as it should (electric windows, electric mirrors, electric sun-roof, central locking system, strong air-con, upgraded 300W Kenwood stereo system, etc, etc.).
An original 80s Koenig Le-Mans inspired BODY KIT was installed while still brand new, along with an ALPINA racing gearbox and a now priceless set of genuine BRAID 3 piece rims (225/ 50 R15 front - 345/ 45 R15 rear).
It has always passed its annual vehicle inspections without difficulty or issues (next one due in December). Genuine 180. 000km. Good tires and brakes all around (and two wide spares in the trunk for good measure - as they can be tricky to find).
Mechanically it is asking for nothing. I could go on...
There are, however, some very minor age-related imperfections.
- The primitive "on-board diagnostics computer" -apart from being in German- isn't fully working (never has in my ownership), but this does not affect the usability of the car in any way shape or form.
- There are some minor paint imperfections dotted around the car - almost imperceptible on camera - I'll be happy to point them out to serious buyers.
- One of the lights behind the instrument cluster needs replacing.
- And that's all.
