1991 Rover 220GTI

The rover 220GTi comes in pulsar silver and has a 140bhp 1994cc T series engine and very refined comfortable handling for which it is best known.
I bought the car last October and have hardly used it so i have decided to sell it rather than just leave it in the garage gathering dust !! as i have two other cars as well plus my daily runabout van so it rarely sees the daylight and really needs to used more hence the reason it is now up sale.
The car has had only two previous owners the first owner kept it for 30 years and i am now the third owner taking ownership in October 2023
I have put a new MOT on the car and it has passed with no advisories at all ( my MOT tester said he has not seen such a clean unmarked car from the underneath.
The car has done less than 58K miles from new and has a file of paperwork and old MOT's to show the mileage is accurate and correct.
The engine and gearbox are very good and the car runs very well with no known problems
The car has had new discs and pads and the callipers have been stripped down and serviced and work perfectly for a car from the 90's
The cars suspension is in very good condition and works perfectly with no squeaks rattles or banging over bumps etc
The cars bodywork is in very good overall condition for a 30 year old car with only some very light scratches (from polishing most likely) with no underbody rust and is very solid ( unlike most i have seen) there are one or two small rust scabs ( surface only) and theses are around the wheel arches which could be addressed if you are fussy that is it nothing else.
The 5 spoke alloy wheels are original for the 220GTi ( spare is in the boot) and are straight but will need a refresh as they are over 30 years old now and showing there age ( need sand blasting and new paint to make them perfect)
The interior is in exceptional condition and clearly shows the car has been well looked after and is testament to the low mileage the car has done.
All the electrics in the car work properly and nothing is missing even the ash trays have never been used !! the car has both electric windows and mirrors the car also comes with a tilt and slide electric sunroof with a sliding fabric cover when closed and the original factory fitted standard radio cassette player.
The seats are the standard factory fit 220GTi half leather both front and rear so it is a completely original car with no aftermarket bits added unusual for a hot hatch
The carpets are the original factory fitted ones and have next to no wear and are in excellent condition
These cars are getting very rare now and are very difficult to find ( only 10-15 registered on the road at present with about another 20-25 sorned off road at present) so will represent a good investment in the futureThe car was first registered in 1991 as a 3 door 220GTi and owned by the first owner until 2022 the second owner then sold it and i bought it in October 2023
All the previous MOT certificates have been retained along with the original service book and other paperwork to show work carried out
