I purchased this from the proprietor of a local garage who had owned this for a number of years. Over that time iv been told It had replaced genuine front wishbones rear shocks rear brake pipe across the rear arm, a clutch and a cambelt in the last 2 years. Wheels refurbed.
It does have a folder with many reciepts going back through its life and has a current mot until December. The body work really is lovely and looks spectacular with a couple small marks here and there which commensurate with the age. no rust around the rear arches having spent some years in the corner of a workshop indoors.
The interior is again really nice offering a re trimmed steering wheel and perfect headliner and seats. It’s recently had a new battery fitted with fresh oil and oil filter. The drive is great pulls as it should and really comes to life once you clear the 5k rpm. Everything feels tight and fresh no untoward noises from the suspension. Now the reason it’s offered at this attractive price is because it does need the Speedo fixing. This has been identified to the drive within the gearbox failing. The good news is that it does come with a spare correct cup gearbox. So the choice is yours as to how you’d like to proceed in terms of repair. These gearboxes are very hard to find now so to have a spare really is a bonus. I believe it also needs a lambda or o2 sensor replacing also.
