Capots Vintage, a specialist in sports and classic vehicles in Lyon, is offering for sale a rare Morgan Plus 8 "35th Anniversary", produced in a limited edition of just 100. It celebrates 35 years since the Morgan Plus 8 was launched in 1968 and marks the end of the era of Rover V8-powered Morgan Plus 8s, before their return in 2012 with BMW engines until 2018. As the Morgan certificate attests, our model is a genuine 35th Anniversary edition, leaving the Malvern Link factory in July 2003. It is finished in a superb 'British Racing Green' colour with a black leather interior with green piping. Updated with cosmetic enhancements, it features the original power steering, tinted LED lights, a grille extension, a bespoke stainless steel exhaust system with twin tailpipes, green-painted chrome, and a wooden dashboard and steering wheel, custom-made by a master Italian cabinetmaker.
The exterior features 5 chromed spoked wheels, a double radiator grille with air intake grille, front and rear bumpers, a front badge holder, a spare wheel cover, step strips with protective film, an EasyFit soft top system, side-screens with storage pocket and a tonneau cover.
Inside, you'll find a 3-spoke Moto-Lita steering wheel and a varnished wood dashboard, stainless steel crossbar covers, stainless steel door hinges, a map light on the passenger side, a short gear knob and a radio and heating system.
Having covered just 28, 400 km since new, it comes with its service book and all the documents attesting to its history. Supplied with its storm-cover, black PVC soft top, side-screens and tonneau cover to match. Can be traded in for your sports or classic vehicle.
