Wolseley Hornet ( Posh Mini ) 1962 Very rare & early
848 cc with Magic wand gear lever
Fully restored - no known faults
New MOT to 25th September 2025 with no advisory issues

It was restored by a previous owner to a very high standard.
When I bought the car it had an issue changing gear. I had a well known professional Mini expert/ Mini racer come and remove/ collect the engine/ box and strip and inspect it. He found that the crankshaft thrust bearings were worn. He told me that apart from this the engine, gearbox and clutch were in good condition. He sent off the crankshaft for re-grinding and then fitted new bearings. He fitted a new timing chain as a matter of course and told me the clutch had been recently replaced. The car is fitted with an oil pressure gauge which shows excellent oil pressure. The car now runs, starts and drives as it should. See the list of new parts I have fitted.
The car is light grey ( Dove Gray ? ) With red interior.
It has just passed an MOT test with no advisories and lots of nice comments.
It has just been fully serviced - Oil change with filter, Air filter, Spark plugs & leads, Radiator hoses, etc
There is a modern ( classic looking ) radio with FM, Bluetooth phone with hands free calling, Aux. I fitted new speaker pods under the front seats rather than make holes! Also a new aerial. I have a Mobile Phone Tracking device fitted shows position on map.
Gauges are: Fuel, temperature and oil pressure, & ammeter.
The car is extremely solid and paintwork is excellent.
Chrome is good.
Even the Wolseley grill badge works.
Interior is very good with no marks on seats, headlining.
The boot contains a full spare wheel with new tyre, Jack & wheel brace,
All 4 tyres are near new.
The car drives well with no unexpected noises and good power, steering and brakes, and is much admired.
It comes with a British Heritage certificate, V5c in my name, New Mot certificate, Clear HPI history report from TheAA. Haynes workshop manual
