Description

Ferrari 250 GTE restored body shell and parts

This listing is a very rare opportunity to purchase a part restored Ferrari 250 GTE

The body shell is presented in excellent condition having just had a lengthy restoration with a leading classic car restoration shop, with metalwork having been completed to a good standard and three coats of epoxy primer applied.

The doors, rear boot, bonnet, removable bulkhead and other metal panels are fitted to the car and in excellent shape

The metalwork for the car has been gone through by a skilled craftsman with many sections repaired, internally and externally. Around 100 photographs are available to document the work which has been completed.

The shell is presented without an ID, having been sourced from what is probably the most well known specialist Ferrari 250 restorer/ builder in the UK. Ideal for a custom build or to enable a restoration of a Ferrari 250 which is in poor condition.

The body shell with doors/ boot/ bonnet/ metal parts are located in Collumpton Devon, and all the other parts are located elsewhere. Priced at £79, 950 for the complete package.

Spare parts include (not a complete list)

Interior, original in red- seems to be the complete set
Front and rear windscreens
Brand new windscreen rubber seals
Dashboard, plus metal frame
Door cards, parcel shelf, many interior trims
Rear axle, original 250 but modified to use a Ford differential
Front brake calipers
Shocks (not original to the car)
Front grille
Accelerator pedal
Windscreen retainer frames front and rear
Spare interior metalwork panels - the restoration shop fabricated brand new ones

This is an exciting opportunity to gain entry into the Ferrari 250 world - completed restored cars are listed for around £400k - £450k.

Sale process:

The body shell with body panels is located in Devon and can be viewed in person by arrangement.

A non refundable deposit of £200 is requested to enable viewings from undocumented applicants or alternatively credentials are requested.

The spare parts are located away from the car and viewing of the spare parts is unfortunately not possible - however their condition can be seen in photos.

On agreement of a sale a non refundable deposit of £2000 is requested - ID can be given if needed. The car is located with a reputable restoration shop.

Once sale is agreed a date will be arranged to meet with all parts present and complete the sale. Apologies if this all sounds difficult but it's just being pragmatic with logistics. No history with the car other than invoices for restoration works completed.
