Due to a faint grinding noise coming from the engine a guide rail was found to be wearing against the intermediate main shaft chain so an engine rebuild has been done. The invoice is in the pictures. While in the process a new ims bearing and rms seal have been fitted along with a new air/ oil separator and head gaskets. Anything that has been found has been done, the cost was £3733. 82 to have have the work done at a Porsche specialist.
Lots of recent work carried out including power steering pipes replaced, 6 new coil packs fitted, and a new roof was fitted with a glass screen in 2019. 2 new condenser’s fitted. A mass of invoices present, the service book and handbook plus 2 keys and the valet key. Plenty of invoices showing past work which was a lot, a well kept example. The Boxster has a full set of Michelin Pilot Sport tyres fitted and the wheels have been updated and painted black which makes the car stand out.
The Boxster drives superb, a smooth gearbox and supple suspension. The engine pulls strong and sounds amazing. A well cherished example that has spent the last 17 years in the Isle of Man.
