For sale, my very rare, very special, very stunning and very immaculate 2002 Mercedes SLK320 V6 ‘Designo’ Automatic Convertible in gorgeous Brilliant Metallic Silver with Nappa leather ‘Designo’ interior with Light Grey Nappa leather seats, Grey/ Black interior, steering wheel, auto Gear Stick, in seriously immaculate condition and one of the best R170 V6 SLKs in the UK and beyond.
Powered by the famous bullet proof Mercedes M112-947 V6 engine the car simply purrs along, extremely smooth and very nippy and quick when you need it to be with the choice of sport or economy drive with a good 38 MPG on a long run so pretty economical for a V6.
Very low mileage, currently at 46700 miles (that’s about 2600 miles per year), in superb condition, drives tight and smooth through the auto gearbox, body paintwork is totally immaculate, no rust, dents, chips or scores, interior is like new, engine bay is spotless, unmarked wheels, the roof operation is perfect and water tight, the seals treated with Gummi-Pledge to ensure flexibility and sealing and moving parts with Lithium grease.

Full Mercedes Service History up to 2024, 20 years by Mercedes Waterhouse Braintree and my own service with German car specialist Bangor Autohaus (even better than Mercedes IMHO) you will not find a car with more history and documentation, even includes the original bill of sale to the last owner in 2004 from upmarket dealers ‘Michael Powles Bentley Norwich’, car was in the Channel Islands for its first 2 years before moving back to mainland UK (note this is a UK car not an import) maintenance records covering £1000s including very recent items, tyres, new front ball joints, two rear wheel sensors and a bland new Merc Gearbox Control Unit.
The car has only done about 3000 miles in the last 4 years and kept in a heated garage when not on the road, just sailed through MOT with no advisories! An all-weather car for anytime of the year, beautiful coupe with the roof up and stunning convertible with it down, heated seats keep you nice and warm even on crisp clear winter days.
So it’s a bucket list car for me, always wanted an SLK V6 and this baby ticked all the boxes, during the summer I have been all around the country, North Coast, the Lakes, the Mournes, the Sperrin’s and all around Donegal….. it never missed a beat, simply superb to drive and turns a few heads too. A stunning, classy, timeless car and becoming a big collector’s item especially with this mileage and condition, it’s a pre-2006 car so the lower tax bracket, a car for the enthusiast or someone that’s looking for something a little different. Note for the purists I know the V6s are not badged and the V6 side badge is easy removed although I think it looks good in this case.
