Description

Due to acquiring an Austin 16/ 6 (an exceptional opportunity) my 1927 Austin 12/ 4 'Windsor' just has to go.... (This is NOT the Green Barn Find listed and sold recently). Hours and hours spent, down to bare metal.
Paintwork & Mechanics excellent, inside almost ORIGINAL so TLC needed (rear blind gone?) Some Rewiring done, All leather seats restorable and work OK, currently the front seats have a simple stretch cover. Lots of new mechanics, kingpins, Professional Magneto conversion, electronic contactless & hand built A&R, bronze carb' professionally rebuilt, AutoVac' and water filtration system and dynamo refurbed. Radiator all OK, Water pump OK, New tyres, artillery wheels stove enamelled, No leaks, No oil drips, excellent engine and gearbox. New silencer. Brakes relined and sound. Being sold at no profit by ATDC & VAR member - simply because of lack of space..... advert edited 29th Oct. (removed carrier & Chest, Some additions for reliability - used daily (I don't have a 'modern' car). The Long Stroke four cylinder engine is the best, good pulling and easy start on the button. This model 'Windsor' was Herburt Austins favourite model. Hundreds made and used as bullet-proof taxis for thousands of miles. Parts are easily available.
