A generally very smart and tidy ULEZ-compliant example of the X-Type V6 in plush SE trim, I took this car in part-payment for a classic Mercedes about three weeks ago, have since been using it for work to make sure it's all good, and have covered about 375 miles in it at the time of writing. It runs well, the only thing I can really pick up on is a slight brake judder under very gentle braking. The car has MOT until March 2025, it has its original handbook and a few bills and old MOTs but not what I'd call full service history. Full V5C in my name. Overall, it has all the hallmarks of a well cared-for car, the oil and coolant look pretty fresh and everything works on it, including the air conditioning, which still blows ice cold. Also has full leather, electric seats, remote locking, four electric windows, a CD player and fully functional cruise control. A well equipped and comfy compact exec. It's a 22-year-old car that's viewed by some as a modern classic, and it's certainly a lovely car to drive, but please don't expect perfection for the price. It still scrubs up very smartly as the photos show, but there are a couple of small marks on the body and some wear where the seatbelt has rubbed the edge of the driver's seat. "Best price" messages will be ignored - I'm not desperate for cash or in need of an urgent sale. This is just a nice old car for someone and it's offered at a very reasonable figure in the current market. A comfy old cruiser that starts and runs well, cruises happily at motorway speeds and is quite a lot of fun to drive, in honest, tidy and original condition.
