recent barn find, having been dry stored for the last 30 years
last on the road in 1993
very rear to find coupe version of the increasingly desirable imp, sharing the same body as the sunbeam stiletto and singer chamois
still in original spec with the 875cc Coventry climax derived all aluminium sohc engine, that turns over freely. single carb. the interior is in good original condition and will clean up nicely
an ideal bases for restoration or to convert to race specification, or as what is now very popular to fit a BMW k1200 engine in, to give 300% boost in power
obviously been kept in a very dry environment as there is little evidence of rot, the floors, inner arches boot and engine bay is very strong, the only area showing any deterioration are the bottom of the front wings and the front edge of the bonnet. the sills are solid but there is some deformation to the rear of the O/ S sill where it has been jacked incorrectly
very solid bases for your next project, and defiantly worth saving
imminent house move means that I'm having to pass this on for someone else to completevery solid example of the sort after coupe version of the imp range
with a few hours work it could be up and driving and would be an ideal basis for restoration of conversion to a classic race or rally car
