Chrome Revival We are delighted to offer for sale this exceptional 1966 MGB Roadster Low Ownership fabulous service history including original service book, British Heritage Certificate, large paperwork file and a detailed account of its fastidious restoration.
Old English White paintwork complimented with red trim, red leather seats with contrasting cream piping. Special factory order of match to body Old English White dash. Grey folding roof, both half and full tonneau’s in red leather.
Chrome wire wheels 14” with Stainless Steel Spokes including the spare.
A matching numbers MGB Roadster GHN3 chassis and 18GB 5 Bearing Engine, it’s the original body restored to perfection throughout every nut and bolt. Fully documented with invoices and photographs by its last owner who purchased it in 1991.
The MGB was his life he sadly passed away recently it is a credit to him for this remarkable motor car. It has won first in class at every show attended notably an exceptional B’ The attention to detail easily museum material.
First registered 7th December 1966 built 24-25th November 1966 it was dispatched from Abingdon Factory 28th November 1966 destination (MG Dealer) Joseph Cockshoot Ltd Kidderminster Worcestershire.
It was supplied by Dartmouth Garage Authorised Dealers High Street Dudley to its first owner Roy of ‘Roy’s Fish Bar’ High Street West Bromwich noted in the Service book.
Sold 10th July 1978 to its second owner a gentleman from Warwickshire who owned the B for over twelve years.
Sold to its last owner 14th August 1991. It drives as nice as it looks, the engine gearbox and rear differential completely rebuilt in 2019.
The MGB feels crisp, sharp and positive certainly no knocks, squeaks or undesirable noises.
Exhaust note is fruity it has a Stainless Steel Bell Exhaust System.
The undercarriage is excellent every nut, bolt and washer. Completely rust treated properly for maximum protection from any corrosion.
In summary this is an exceptional MGB Roadster the condition is excellent, flawless paintwork, incredible body lines, shut lines and panel gaps.
Restored to concourse show standard, built to its original factory specification. Matching numbers, recently fully rebuilt engine, gearbox and running gear.
