Description
The Jaguar XJ Coupe was manufactured from 1975 to 1977. In 1973 and 1974, a few pre-production prototypes were built, some of these ended up in the scrap press. The 1973 and 1974 XJ Coupes were manufactured with the carburetor system. With the start of series production in 1975, the vehicles were manufactured with an injection system. There are also differences to the series, for example, in the bodywork, interior fittings and window regulator mechanism.
This first XJ12 Coupe LHD was built in early 1973 as left-hand drive and then converted to right-hand drive at the factory. The chassis number 2G50001 identifies the coupe as LHD. Due to the documented conversion in the factory, it is both RHD and LHD original.
