Standard car apart from K&N air filter fitted inside the normal air box.
Current milage is 177, 3xx with a new 12 month MOT and a fresh oil and filter change at the same time.
I’ve only owned it since February 2024 (and only done 1000 miles) but due to a life long hunt for a TVR that is now in my ownership, means I have to move the LE on prematurely, else I would be keeping.
Drives brilliant, clutch/ gearbox are spot on, engine is smooth as silk, no leaks anywhere. Air-con ice cold. I am the 8th keeper.
Has non run flat Bridgestone tyres all round with good tread, steering tie rods, heater blower, rear shocks and mountings replaced in 2022. Rear discs, pads, rear tyres replaced and engine serviced Feb 2023.
Engine oil & oil filter last changed in October 2023, then in my ownership I took it to a BMW specialist that gave it a health check and did the rocker cover gasket, brake lines, prop donut and brake fluid change.
In July I had the front left brake caliper changed.
Full service history – mostly BMW/ Specialist, stamps in the book up to 154k miles.
Major service in 2021 (Oil &Filter, Pollen Filter, Air Filter and Spark Plugs) as well as brake fluid change and a new battery. The Gearbox and Diff Oils were replaced as well as the front road springs and top mounts.
Within the last few years it has had a lot of the usual issues sorted/ replaced including;
ABS Pump (Changed under Warranty by BMW)
Rear wiper motor (Changed under Warranty by BMW)
Fuel filler bowl and cap (Genuine BMW)
Starter motor changed (2018)
New Bosch battery (2022)
Defects:
Age related marks as you would expect on a car that’s covered 177k ie a few stone chips on the front end, couple of curb marks on the wheels, bit of drivers seat wear etc. There is a bit of paint bubbling on the offside front wing.
I have taken a photo of this.
Occasionally, every now and again, the passengers window goes back down when you raise it up. You can normally wait a few seconds then it operates as normal. It was like it when I bought the car (previous owner told me it’s done it for years) but never bothered me enough to sort. (Can get a video of this for better understanding)
Very annoyingly someone scraped the back quarter of the rear bumper in a car park in the summer, I’ve taken a photo of this, it’s not awful and it is booked in to be done by a bodywork specialist in a few weeks.
Absolute genuine reason for sale, I would love to keep it as a daily but it just won’t get used and I don’t have the room sadly.
Will come with the original number plate (BT07 UPX)
Car is located in South Devon, I am asking £3999 no offers. Or, if you wish, £3800 without the rear quarter sorted out. (£200 quote from the body shop)
I think this is a fair price, being the cheapest LE currently for sale.
