Description
Nippy little Mark 1 Express moped. Two previous owners and was then left in a shed from 1990s unloved. Bought 2 years ago (2022) and fixed up.
The bike is MoT and Tax exempt and had a full service by a classic bike garage in 2022 (paper work provided). The tank (which was the main issue on the bike) had rust inside and so was professionally cleaned and repaired.
Bike is all original (including paint and decals) except for the wing mirrors. Seat pan is in good shape however the vinyl is torn on one side due to previous owner coming off it. 1700 miles on the clock.
The bike works really well although the exhaust is a little noisy lately so may need some TLC/ maintance. It’s a great runner when used reguarly. Its quirks are it has a pump start as opposed to a kick start. Also if not using for a month or more I would recommend disconnecting the battery as it will go flat. Also it predates indicators.
I really want this bike to find a good home with someone who will keep it as original as possible. Although there is some patina on the paint work finding one looking good for its age is rare and she deserves someone who will appreciate that.
Selling as I have two others and I can’t run them all and she deserves more use than we can give her.
All documents in my name. The express mopeds are so easy to work on and just a fun little run around. Most can do 80 miles on a full tank. They were massively under appreciated for many years but have recently gained a nostalgic cult following! This one has attended a few classic bike shows and people just love it.
