1998 Porsche Boxster 2. 5 - Private Plate - Original Hard Top - Low Miles 78k - Long MOT
Here for sale is my Porsche Boxster finished in Ocean Blue Metallic paint with Boxster Red Leather interior, also has a nice Boxster related private plate and a matching hardtop.
The wheels are 18" Sport Classic II, with new Sport Contact tyres on the front and older Sport Contact tyres on the rear with loads of tread left.
The car has low milage for its age with an average of 3000 miles per year and has an MOT until 18th July next year. There is a large history file with the car and all the original service book and book pack.
The body work is very presentable with age related marks as you'd expect with a 26 year old car. The rear bumper could do with a repaint due to a parking nudge and the rear Bootlid has a few dimples, neither of which I noticed when I bought the car and don't detract from how nice it looks.
The water pump, belt and pulleys were replace in the last year and the oil air seperator was done at the last MOT. The car starts immediately, no smoke at all, runs really nicely, brakes are all good and drives well. It pulls well thru all the gears and is happy cruising along with the roof down or more spritely driving is no problem either.
The car has 2 keys, the fob stopped working recently when I replaced the old battery, its a common Boxster fault, there were no new ones in stock when I enquired, so that's something you might want to do, but the doors open on the key and the alarm works fine. Doesn't really bother me as it a second car and doesn't affect the operation of the car.
I have priced the car accordingly to is condition, the hard top and private plate are worth £1500 on their own, the wheels are also over £1000 per set. I would be open to sensible offers for a quick sale, otherwise I'll store it over the winter.
The reason for the sale is I have had my fun with it and fancy something else, the Tax and insurance is up at the end of the month and I thought I'd see if I could sell it rather than insuring it to sit in the garage all winter.
