1989 Ford Escort RS Turbo, 90 spec registererd November 1989 finished in Rosso Red supplied new by Godfrey Davis Ford RS dealer The first owner kept her for 12 years and took her back to the supplying dealer every year for service and MOT the car has since had 6 more owners all of which looked after the car incredibly well judging from its condition today, with a low genuine milage of 89000 with fully documented history.
HPI with full report available numbers matching original car that's not been restored or ever welded its a real gem kept very nice and totally usable in my ownership its been faultlessly reliable used on sunny days.
The paintwork presents almost perfect condition minor stonechips to the edge on the bonnet no dents or rust. All rubbers and seals are perfect and have not dried or perished all original Ford reg mark etched glass & sunroof even still has the original windscreen which has started to de-laminate at the bottom but didn't want to change due to the originality. Original Carello spotlights.
The boot floor is mint with factory inspection markings present spare wheel has the original Goodyear tyre on it.
Engine runs perfect starts every time no tapping or smoke at all. turbo boosts well I had the car set up on rolling road a few years ago made a healthy 140bhp only mods are an uprated actuator as the standard one failed mongoose exhaust and a dump valve which I fitted standard boost hose comes with the car. CAT 1 alarm installed a couple of years ago.
Interior is in absolutely mint condition for 35 years old the Recaros have no signs of wear no sagging or tears. the roof lining also is perfect Sunroof works and doesn't leak interior plastics are perfect to no damage or cracks standard Ford radio and speakers all of which works electric windows and mirrors. Trip computer also works however not accurate!
Slight peeling of numbers on dials however minimal I didn't want to change these.
Underside of the car had been undersealed very early on I feel this is what saved the car from rust some has been removed to show the original finish underneath and resealed with clear protector
The car drives very well no issues with the car running and driving.
the car has extensive history back to day 1 and every single MOT. many many receipts of work carried out over the years and some photos of the car through out the years. original book packs and dealership bits.
Ive owned this car for 5 years when purchased it had been in storage for some time I refreshed all suspension and bushes throughout and kept it all OEM spec brakes also reconditioned callipers and drums zinc coated engine bay had light freshen up with rocker cover cross over pipe and inlet sand blasted.
Im sure I will miss this car as I won't find another but I fancy a change.
