Description

This is an extremely heart wrenching sale but now has to be enjoyed by someone else.

A show winning 1969 B-Body Dodge Charger SE Imported to Essex near London, UK in 2019, previously a very solid, typically sun-scorched Cali car.
Needing little, sympathetically restored from the ground up with no welding needed, painted to DOH spec orange with subsequent livery added. The chassis has been treated to very tidy rustproofing and garaged since.

The body has clearly been prepped and painted very well, it's arrow straight and you can run your hand fast under the wheel arch lips without flinching, such is the perfection and originality of the coachwork. Paint clarity is very bold and deep, it's recently been fully detailed professionally and ceramic coated. As can be seen in the photos it pops but they still don't do it justice fully. There are less marks on the body than we have fingers on one hand, just a very tiny 1" touch up in the correct orange up on the top of the offside rear quarter... and that's being extremely fussy.
Please zoom in on the photos to see the pure straightness of the panels, especially the hood and deck, they are flawless!
Naturally around the light bezels and grill there are some mild age related chips and wear, again being super fussy these are discrepancies that are extremely mild but just pointing it out. The same goes for very minimal amounts of overspray on boot rubbers. BUT, overall and in the grand scheme of things this is no bucket toshed up, it's an award winning and very good car. The decals are mint, there are some quirky period MQQN and Cooters garage stickers to boot which amongst the general greatness always raise a smile :)

The engine is a fully rebuilt 440ci Big Block mated to a butter smooth 3 speed auto transmission, in turn linked to an immaculate detailed prop and diff, with just a little dusting of road dirt - naturally.
2. 5" Flowmaster mufflers expel the gasses and are met at the rear with OE polished Charger tips, the exhaust system is set up using the V brace system allowing straight=thru pipes to be quickly fitted if so desired (they're new and in the sale).
New chrome headers, belts, recent service and brake overhaul ensure everything is mechanically well and safe. It's on the button and comes with 2 keys.
Clock reads 1061 miles, there is no dealer or garage history, make of it what you will, a solid canvas car that may or may not have spun the clock.. it was bought in good faith not knowing and also not caring. My very trusted old school motor engineer wizard maintains it regularly.

The wheels are rare and very expensive 'lipped' special edition American Racing mags, wrapped in excellent Cooper Cobra tyres.

Interior is sumptuous with a new OE headliner and handmade bracing in phenomenal condition along with restored and finely detailed working 'well' and under dash lighting. A period TV prog correct Cobra CB radio is fitted and is backed up by a subsequent boot=mounted Mag Mount aerial, this has never been fitted, neither has a roll cage as it was felt this would be sacrilegious and an act of vandalism to the excellent floor and deck lid. SE seats and rare SE (and expensive) hard to find headrests have been installed and match perfectly, there is some lower cracking on the drivers seat. Carpets, panels and other interior items are very good, albeit with minimal but authentic wear, as can be seen in photos. Dynamat is fitted throughout including the trunk area.

All glass is very good with absolute minimal light scratching that needs to be searched for, top tint screen is perfect and only the minimal amount of blemishing/ pitting on chromes, just confined to the qtr lights.

Overall this is an excellent car, it is north of 8 out of 10 considering it's age. It's not be confused with a Charger with stickers, aside the livery... underneath is a fantastic example of an iconic Mopar coupe.
