Description

Externally, the Bodywork of this Carrera presents superbly with no major marks or blemishes and with straight & constant panel gaps all round. The 16-inch Fuchs forged alloy wheels are colour coded and in superb original condition, completing the classic 911 look. The Black electrically operated convertible roof is also in superb condition with no major marking or creasing and the rear screen remains in good clear condition.

This 1989 example is from the last year of production before Porsche replaced the G model with the 964 from 1990 onwards. Being a Sport variant, this Carrera features the factory front and rear spoilers and sports suspension.

Internally, the black interior is dominated by the superb electrically adjustable leather Sports Seats with white piping which offer the perfect combination of comfort and support. The interior is in excellent, clean condition with no major damage or wear and just a light age-related patina to show for its 35 years.

The electrical items, windows, mirrors and convertible roof all work as they should, and the car is fitted with 1990’s Pioneer Radio Cassette head-unit and 6-disc CD multichanger located in the front luggage compartment.

The front compartment is also in excellent condition with the fitted velour carpet set in un-blemished condition. The space-saver spare wheel original tool kit roll, jack and tyre compressor are present and correct. At the rear, the engine bay is clean and tidy and looks well cared for. The engine starts easily and idles smoothly.

On the road the car drives really well with steering, brakes and gearbox all feeling tight and precise as you would expect. The power delivery is smooth and progressive as you change up through the 5 speed G50 gearbox. The driving experience is pure classic 911 with the non-power assisted steering feeling light and accurate on the move and returning all the road surface feedback a driver could want.

The flat six air-cooled engine pulls well in all gears and adds that classic 911 soundtrack to any drive, further enhanced with the convertible hood down which adds another dimension an already superb and old school driving experience.
