Description

This 930 finished in classic Grand Prix White and optioned with contrasting two-tone interior finished in Midnight Blue and Linen Leather presents very nicely. The bodywork on this 930 is beautifully straight with superb shut lines and panel fit and the paintwork shows no major marks or blemishes.

The FUCH alloy wheels have been refinished to an extremely high standard in gloss white with black detailing which compliments the look of the car, whilst the paintwork benefits from a complete Paint Protection Film covering which was fitted some years ago which has protected the paintwork well and still looks fresh and glossy.

Internally, the cabin again presents very nicely, with the special order two-tone Midnight Blue & Linen leather interior adding some contrast to the white exterior and showing no major signs of wear other than a light age related patina. Carpets and trim also show no major signs of damage or abuse for their 36 years of service and the electrical items, windows, sunroof, mirrors and seat adjustments all work as intended.

On the road, this 930 is a real drivers experience. The lack of power steering means low speed manoeuvring needs a fair amount of effort but rewards aplenty once you gather some pace at which point the classic 911 steering feel and feedback all the payback you need. These 4 speed turbos offer superb torque at slower speeds but fairly docile at lower revs, making driving around town and in traffic fairly practical with just 1st and 2nd gear.

However, once the opportunity arises and an open road becons and the revs start to rise past the well documented turbo lag, things get very exciting very quickly as the boost gauge flicks over towards 1bar of boost, the rear of the car squats, the steering comes alive and you are catapulted towards the scenery in a rather addictive and smile inducing fashion.

This 930 is a hugely enjoyable and rewarding car to drive once the driver becomes familiar with its old school 911 traits and a devastatingly quick though comfortable machine which will not disappoint.
