My Honda Civic Type R GT FK8 for sale, and in fantastic condition.
I bought the Car from a Honda main dealer, Yeomans in Guildford, who have serviced the car since they sold it new to. My ownership only began in May, but I have since changed companies and am now doing a large amount of driving with work and the car is too good to used as such, so I’m getting a less interesting work car, sadly. As a result of my selling earlier than planned, the car has the balance of a Honda Approved warranty which extends to May 2025, and this can be extended if you choose.
It is an incredible car, the handling and performance is astounding, and the modes really alter the way it drives. The default Sport setting is very well suited to fast road, Type R mode is a little severe for British Roads, but Comfort mode really makes it a quiet and comfortable car to travel large distances, and it easily returns 38 mpg on longer runs. Mechanically the car is perfect and completely standard, the gearbox and drivetrain are very tight, the engine is magnificent, the handling is faultless. It tracks and drives true as the geometry was reset in its preparation for sale, and it has Continental SportContact tyres all round, CSC7 on the front, CSC6 at the rear, both sets about halfway worn.
Cosmetically the interior has very little wear, the passenger and rear seats have barely been used, and the drivers bolsters are very good. Externally the Rallye Red paint is very good, there are no panel ‘dings’, only a small number of stone chips at the front, and there is some very light discolouration of the pai on the door levers (they are all like that, if in red or black). It has been cleaned and waxed more or less every week. The alloys are in great condition, but of note there are some very small deformations in the rims as bought from Honda, where the very low-profile tyres mean that pothole strikes make an indent – they certainly don’t need refurbishment and there is no curbing.
The car has smartphone interface, due to being a later 2017 build. Both keys are present, the service history is full dealer all at Yeomans Honda, the last being in May of this year, and the next MOT is May 2025.
