Description
This Crystal Blue MX-5 is very solid with a great MOT history, no filler or rust bubbles, excellent underneath. 93000 miles. Mechanics all seem good and everything works as it should. Drives very well indeed with its S specification which includes a 6 speed gearbox and Limited Slip Differential. Heated leather seats. Fog lights. Excellent hood, a very simple job to erect, even easier to take down when the sun comes out. Comfortable to drive all year. Good tyres. Very nice wheels. A great car, likely to appreciate in value, and a bargain. Very genuine reason for this unexpected sale. MOT to May 2025. I previously owned an MX-5 of this S specification, but it had to go when we moved. Having got some space back I hunted for a replacement, and found this one which I recently purchased for £2000. However, my uncle unexpectedly wants me to have his pride and joy Mercedes, and I want to accede to his wish, but I cannot keep both that and the Mazda, which is the only reason I am selling, and I need a quick sale hence the price and why I am taking a hit.
The car is very solid, and I could find no filler or issues on inspection. I was told the car has been damaged in the past, and this is recorded as a cat C. One of the rear wings appears very slightly darker and the paint needs polishing to blend properly, but I guess this could have been the area of damage - I could find no evidence of any substantial damage, and the value of the car would mean a total loss would be declared for minor damage, hence I was not concerned. Very little other information with the car, however the specialist seller told me that in the last 3 years over £1000 has been spent on it, including Brand New Cam-Belt (with receipt), new water pump, refurbished brakes, rear wheel arches (properly cut out with new metal arches welded in. £230 has recently been spent on both ABS sensors.
