I have owned this Triumph TR4a for over 40 years and I’m the second owner . It is a UK car and has been in dry storage for 35 years waiting for me to have the time to recommission and renovate when I retired . Now I’m retired I no longer have the strength to complete the task . The engine is not the original one but has been rebuilt and turns over freely on the key ( the original engine is available but in poor condition due to lack of indoor storage space. It would make the perfect winter project !
Bodywork including inner wings, floors, boot and bonnet lid and sills is very good with only surface rust .
Chassis needs repair at the rear outriggers ( common place ) , steering is good, running gear ( suspension) will need replacing as will brakes . Non overdrive Gearbox was working well when laid up . Front valance has some rust . Seats are useable and not ripped .
Tows freely on its wire wheels, spare wheel is present . Front and rear bumpers need rechroming or replacing . All other bright work is available and bagged .
Soft top and sticks are present .
In summary an original 2 owner UK TR needing renovation at a reasonable price .
