This is an extremely well looked after and cherished example of a desirable 1. 8IS MK1 MX5. With more than complete full service history, all 3 previous owners have cared for this car above and beyond, whilst keeping its factory original and unmodified form. Being a 1. 8IS, this car is the highest specification to leave the factory, with Electric Mirrors, ABS, Drivers Side Airbag and Electric Windows, all paired with the most powerful engine produced for the MK1’s! Its extremely hard to find an example this untouched, elderly driven, with proof of perfect maintenance, especially in this perfect of a specification!
Bodywork Wise, the car is completely rust free. Both arches and sills are in flawless condition with absolutely no rust, and all spot welds around the rear arches. Both lower sills have been welded and restored to an extremely high standard. As shown in the photos, the underside has minor age related surface rust, proving that all surface rust advisories on the recent MOT are far from anything to worry about and extremely unnecessary to have been mentioned! The British Racing Green paintwork is in absolutely amazing condition, with only the odd age related mark which is more than expected with a car this age. The Interior is as immaculate and as original as it gets, with no rips, tears or damage to any of the seats or trim, and everything working exactly as it should.
This example runs and drives absolutely flawlessly, which is expected for a car that has been perfectly maintained its whole life. Everything work exactly as it should, meaning the car is fully good to go with a Valid MOT till 28th June 2025, with both advisories of tyres being replaced, as well as all surface rust advisories being void due to an overly picky tester.
