For sale is my beautiful 1997 Jaguar XK8 in Sherwood Green and Cream interior. The car boasts full service history, 3 owners, and a recent overhaul of big jobs including valley hose replacements, auxiliary belt and tensioner, and upgraded gen 3 timing tensioners. Sat on Pirelli p zero all around and nearly a flawless MOT history.
The car was kept in an indoor collection for 10 years between 2012 and 2022. Consequently, the car boasts excellent body work with little to no corrosion, never having any rust undersealed or repaired, what you see are the same panels from factory. After this period, the owner sadly died, his wife sold his cars at which point the previous owner bought this jag and made it road worthy again, giving it all necessary servicing and an ECU rebuild prior to me purchasing.
With the car I have:
- original bill of sale with full spec listed
- fully stamped service booklet
- all original owners manuals
- tax discs till 2008
- tons of invoices correlating with services and other work carried out
- MOT certificates
- 2 keys
- the original timing tensioners
Points for improvement:
As the car is 27 years old so it is not without its minor flaws. These are as follows:
- superficial low coolant error occasionally on the dash despite the coolant level being more than sufficient and being bled properly when the valley hoses were replaced. I have been trouble shooting and it isn’t a sensor or float so I’m unsure but it’s totally superficial and can be cleared on the dash with a button in the car
- the odd stone chip here and there on the front bumper and a small scratch on the back arch- Serviced roughly every 5000 miles
- excellent paint work minus a few stone chips
- original manuals and booklets
- 2 keys
- smooth gearbox
- tons of invoices
- surprisingly fuel efficient, reaching 35mpg on the motorway if you try
