Description

Genuine 1901 Porter Stanhope steam car dated by Steam Car association of GB Locomobile 6. 5 hp engine recent new boiler with full certificates
Hexane pilot fuel and kerosene main burner.
Extensive rebuild last winter including new waterproof cover
Interesting and unique car
Would consider veteran car or 4-6" scale traction engine in part exchangeSteam cars were mainly produced by USA with manufactures like Stanley, Whites, Grout, etc. There were in fact at least a 100 different manufactures in the early 1900s like Coln Porter. This is the only known survivor but he did use many common parts hence a Locomobile engine. This one was imported originally in the 1970s then back out to America then re-imported about 8 years ago. A steam car is a interesting hobby and certainly different from common internal combustion cars.
