1988 (E) BMW E28 525e Lux Auto
Effectively a barn find, it was brought out of 13yrs of dry storage in June 2024 and sent to a professional BMW specialist in Chelmsford, well regarded by enthusiasts, to be returned to roadworthy condition. Work carried out included new battery, timing belt and tensioner, replacement fuel tank, front suspension lower arms, new radiator and coolant, new copper brake lines to rear, brake fluid change and sundry items.
4 x NEW tyres and windscreen wipers fitted as was commented on the advisory on the most recent MOT. MOT runs out 13/ 08/ 2025.
Car has been since clayed, polished, and waxed.
Interior pictures added, photos of drivers, passenger door corners to show no rust, also internal shuts of the doors are good.
Small section of rust shown by the rear number plate lights and also small section on the drivers side of the boot shut line.
OSR sill was welded up in 2007. Other sills look in good condition. I have attached pictures, as best as I can, to show sills.
Air con tested and working fine.

The "lux" edition was introduced towards the end of production run of the E28 to promote sales prior to the release of the E34.
It has lots of extra equipment and features over the base model: air conditioning, de-chroming, electric mirrors and windows, 15" BBS alloys, tinted windows, rear head restraints, metallic paint, anthracite buffalo leather upholstery, electric sliding sunroof, EH switchable transmission, wash/ wipe headlights, coach lines, front arm rests and colour coded rear spoiler.
The radio had been changed prior to my ownership to a late 90's CD player with detachable facia.
