1943 Ford GPW for sale.
This jeep has had a 4 year nut and bolt restoration completed in 2019 when it attended the 75th commemorations in Normandy.
This GPW is like an off the production line vehicle, taut, rattle free and as it would have been when new. The engine, gearbox, clutch, transfer box and axles and brakes were all professionally rebuilt by the renown Jeffery Engineering.
All body parts have been stripped to bare metal and repainted. All new brakes, brake lines, master cylinder.
New starter motor, generator, GPW radiator, coil, distributor, fuel tank, battery, fuel pump, exhaust, gauges, switch gear, wiring loom. 5 combat wheels and new tyres. Many original f marked parts including the glass, seats, original wings with correct serrated edges, etc.
All new Worthing canvas including correct GPW hood, headlight covers and half doors.
All lights work as they should and indicators have been concealed in the side lights. Jerrycan, pioneer tools, fire extinguisher, gun rack. Replica Thompson by separate negotiation. This jeep is finished in fully matt paint which is now acquiring a lovely patina. The vehicle has the markings of a British jeep of the Wessex regiment. V5 and historic vehicle. Only 1200 miles done since rebuild.
