Description
I may part with my b3 1. 6td, as I have the opportunity to purchase another b2 GL5 estate, which is what I really want.
It's the 1. 6 turbo diesel with intercooler. Its not the fastest thing in the world, but it pulls well and nips along nicely, will happily sit at 80 on motorway etc.
It's the CL, so has central locking, power steering, erm erm a heater. Erm 4 wheels lol
145, 000 miles, has a years MOT, new tyres all round, recent battery and exhaust, new track rod end and CV joint. Cambelt done about 20k ago. Previous owner had the sills welded, backbox replaced, and various other advisories sorted in preparation for this year's MOT, but ended up selling it to me as they have been given a newer car from an elderly relative who's had to give up driving.
Last owner since 1993! Runs and drives lovely.
Very tidy inside, exterior also very tidy no dents or scratches, has some areas to bottom of doors/ wings that have been painted, but on the whole very presentable. I spent all day yesterday giving it a valet and machine polish, it's come up lovely but would probably benefit from a further polish up.
Only points to mention is drivers door handle is a little loose, so you have to push the lock bit when you pull the handle to open the door. And it can grind abit when selecting 5th gear. Normally I select neutral first then 5th and it doesn't grind. The aerial also needs replacing.
I don't really want to sell it, but as i said I really want another b2 again and can't keep both! I really want it to go to a good home where it will continue to be looked after.
Id like 1750 for it. Located near Bedford
