Here is the sale of my 1997 328i se with individual specification. 5 speed manual gearbox on 16 inch wheels.
Mora Metallic exterior, purple with an orange hue in the sunlight. Beige interior with nappa cream white leather and body colour piping to front seats and rear headrests.
I've owned the car for a couple years covering around 4000 miles in the summer months.
The car was driven in Germany for a couple of it's earlier years with services in Dresden. Car has limited paperwork but does have the original service stamp booklet with 19 recorded services in.
I knew keeping this car wasn't guaranteed but after visiting the BMW museum in Munich and seeing an e34 estate in Mora Metallic I was inspired to give it the refresh it deserved. The subframe has been swapped for a fresher unit. On inspection the rear subframe mounting area is in good condition and shows no signs of fatigue which is a common failure point on bmw's of this era. I fitted with poly bushes before reinstalling. The car has new Bilstein B4 shocks all around with Eibach pro-kit lowering springs (30mm front and 15mm rear). The car sits and rides nice at this height and retains practicality.
Body wise, the car is quite honest and hasn't been restored but repaired when necessary. Sills and jacking point repairs by previous owners to an MOT standard. I have had the front anti roll bar mounts properly replaced using genuine BMW parts by my local body shop. They inspected the car and said that the sills and arches will need work in the future, but not necessary for a couple of years if driven in dry months.
Changes to the interior are the Blaupunkt Madrid bluetooth radio as previous pioneer unit was quite old and not functional. I replaced the front console lower trim because the factory wood finish was cracked. I replaced gear and handbrake boots at the same time. The rest is all original with some nice modern features such as dual function electric sunroof, front heated seats, reversing sensors and auto dimming rear view mirror. car has trip computer but unfortunately the right hand side of the display has faded away, it will still display mpg and range etc.
