Description
1987 2. 1 Ford Capri for sale.
Its time to let my capri go as its time for a new venture with a new (old) car. Il try and keep this short and sweet as the photos are the bulk of the advert.
The car has seen a fair amount of change in my ownership, but as it stands now its a very clean, usable classic. Its not "mint." A couple of blemishes and small cracks in the paint but it's sits very very well and really is a nice, well looked after car. Veiwing is a must
It started life as a 2l laser, and had most of the work prior to my ownership. Its supposedly bored out to a 2. 1 but i have never had the head off to prove this. All i know is , after having standard 2l pintos, it goes rather well. I have no doubt that it is bored out. Confirmed 205 block, with a mild cam, 4-1 manifold, running into twin sportex tail pipes. Early 2. 8i interior with shark grey recaros, S stripes down the side and bumper overriders (to look like a genuine S) sat on JBW 15" RS replica wheels and like new toyo TR1's. (Bought them all brand new and have done 500miles at most.) It really does turn heads and stand out from other Capris in a line up.
Was painted around 3-4 years ago and has mostly been stood since, hence the odd crack on the paint.
Got some History, stancks of old reciepts from my ownership and from previous. Old MOT's, photos of restoration work etc.
As you can see from the MOT history and as ive mentioned above, the cars not been used at all over the past couple of years. It did fly through an mot a couple of days ago but may want the carb tweaking after a few good runs
Iv tried to be as fair as I can with the price, considering market prices and the fact the paint isn't 100% perfect.
£8750 as it stands on the 15's.
£8500 on the original laser alloys shown in the later pictures.
Please note, you won't automatically get both sets of wheels. As I'm sure youl understand, most classic enthusiasts always have a need for either nice wheels, or some rollers/ winter wheels
