I'm absolutely gutted to do this, but our house is placing too much strain on our finances, so I'm putting our lovely Saab 96 up for sale.
In addition, I'm also advertising my 900 Turbo, and I'll be keeping whichever one doesn't sell first!
For sale is our gorgeous 1964 Saab 96 Bullnose two-stroke.
This car was restored in Finland a few years ago, with work including an engine and gearbox rebuild, sports exhaust, full respray, and new brakes and suspension.
It remains largely original, with the original interior (including rubber floor mats), wheels, engine, and gearbox intact. It’s largely original underneath as well, with minimal signs of previous welding.
It drives exceptionally well, and sounds amazing, especially with the sports exhaust.
The freewheel system, crucial for two-stroke models, is functioning as it should.
The bodywork is very good, not perfect, but more than presentable given the year. For me it's ideal, as it's not so pristine that you're scared to use it, but it's obviously a very, very nice condition classic.
The car always starts on the first try and has been entirely reliable during our ownership. It’s surprisingly nippy and is like nothing else on a twisty A road. It's an absolute joy.
It will come with 8-9 litres of two-stroke oil, which should last quite a while.

As long as it’s not raining (wipers not working), I’m confident it will get you wherever you need to go.
Oh, and it comes with a very nice condition rear bumper (inc all fittings) and a set of hubcaps also in good condition if you wanted to return to a more standard look.
