Description
1956 Morris Minor Traveller
It's with a heavy heart that I've got to put Minor Alterations up for sale.
Very well known and liked Supercharged Traveller.
Built in early 90's on a Webster full tube chassis.
Blown SBC with nitrous plumbed in.
Since buying, I have gone through from back to front ensuring anything worn was replaced and anything needing upgrading was done. Serck rad plus new fans. New tyres all round. Brakes replaced. Steering rack refurbed and repositioned to allow for better turning and clearance. Etc etc.
Have later Morris wings to go with the car if you wish to put it back to how it was originally.
So much to list but have photographic evidence.
Magazine featured but have contacts to get it into publication now still pending.
Only selling as have been offered a chance to own another rare poster car but haven't the space for both.
Car is road legal. It is correctly listed on the V5 as 1956 Morris with a 5700cc engine.
Please don't expect this to be a comfortable, chilled car to drive. Rose joints, wheelie bars, tubed frame, Jaz seats mean its noisy and an event to drive. I am 6 foot and fit in perfectly.
Always gains huge attention wherever it's been.
From the original spec sheet found in Street Machine Nov 1997

Axle is a Ford 9in, narrowed and braced. 4. 11:1 gears with a limited slip diff.
Interior is aluminium panelled with racing seats. 5 point harnesses. Auto Meter gauges. Removable steering wheel.
All original Minor switches and dash board (trafficators still work)
As mentioned, I have renewed and replaced a lot over the time I have had this car. All new tyres, wheel bearings, Serck aluminium radiator, twin Spall fans, trans cooler, brakes etc.
Only selling as I have another project that I am keen to start on.
Obviously, this is not the type of vehicle you can just jump in and test drive so please do not ask.
