Welcome to this advert for my much cherished and exceptionally Low mileage 1990 (G) . Ford P100 Popular 2. 0 Petrol finished in Gentian Blue with an original factory Truckman top. This stunning P100 is in immaculate condition throughout and has only covered 12. 580 genuine miles from new with just 1 previous owner.
I purchased this vehicle back in January 2006 with just 10. 000 miles on the clock from a motor dealer in Worcester. The vehicle came with service history from the supplying Ford dealer indicating as follows:
* First service @ 2. 971 miles 19/ 10/ 1990.
* Second service @ 6. 700 miles 10/ 02/ 1992.
* Third service @ 9. 576 miles 15/ 10/ 01.
I have always had a soft spot for these vehicles as I was in the building trade with my father and this vehicle was identical to the ones that we used all those years ago. This is a reluctant sale as I do have a lot of great memories and a strong attachment for this vehicle but feel that after 18 years it is now the right time for the P100 to be enjoyed by a new owner.
When I first purchased the vehicle it was found to be in excellent condition both mechanically and bodily however I wanted to take it to the next level so I took it off the road and commissioned a local restorer to carry out some renovation work as follows.
May 2006. 10. 400 miles.
* Remove rear pick up body to inspect , clean, Waxoyl and paint chassis.
* Replace fuel tank and any rubber hoses.
* Full service , Brake check, Timing belt and all fluids changed.
October 2007. 11. 600 miles.
* Recondioned Carburettor and Service kit.
August 2008. 12. 000 miles.
* Engine removed and engine bay repainted, new old stock bulkhead cover, Brake pipes replaced as required.
* Engine block repainted and new manifold gaskets / Rocker cover gaskets replaced.
* Tappets checked, Crank and camshaft oil seals/. Timing belt / Alternator belt replaced/ Plugs replaced/ Oil and filter.
The P100 has been constantly maintained since the renovation but has been largely unused as it has been part of my classic car and commercial vehicle collection. The P100 has always been kept dry stored and it has only ever been used on the odd occasion during the summer months, weather permitting! to ensure that it is kept preserved and in tip top condition.
During lockdown in 2020, I decided to refresh some areas on the vehicle as required, this included repainting the chassis and floors underneath, repainting all wheels and a full service with the intention of giving it a bit more use but with having so many vehicles at the time it never happened.
Having made the decision to sell my P100 I have had the vehicle MOTD and also had some service work carried out to ensure that it is safe and ready to go as follows.
* Timing belt and tensioner.
* Coolant flush.
* Oil and filter.
* Brake check and fluid change.
* Replaced the front windscreen due to a small crack at the bottom. Windscreen surround and paintwork is in excellent condition.
The shadow grey interior of this P100 is immaculate and reflects in the low mileage and having been fitted with seat covers from new. Original Ford radio is present and in working order as is all switchgear and controls.
In summary this rare Ford P100 pick-up is not to be missed and will make the perfect vehicle for any Ford / classic vehicle enthusiasts. This must be one of the best P100s that has survived particularly with the current mileage and it is very solid and original.
I have been using the vehicle over the past week and it drives really well but please note that it is still fitted with the original VV carburettor which can be a little temperamental particularly when left for long periods without starting.
Comes with an original bill of sale including a list of extras ordered at the time.
