Description
Moskvich 412 IE (1500)
I am currently studying at medical school and living in Ukraine. I plan to return to the UK in my classic vehicle in the coming months.
The vehicle will be registered and have UK plates.
The paintwork and bodywork is in excellent condition restored in Ukraine - Any rust or rotten bits were remove and replaced 2 years ago, and painted inside and out.
The underside has been cleaned, painted, and treated including gravitex.
Internal cavities and doors all treated with Movil - a noise and vibration insulation.
Overhauled engine (less that >4000KM), new pistons, rings, camshaft, upgraded to electric fuel pump, upgraded distributor, braking system, with upgraded front disc brakes and servo. Replaced and lowered suspension.
95% original apart from the fore mentioned modern upgrades but still has some of the classic car patina and feels like a real time machine.
Mileage and engine is native to the vehicle 140, 000KM.
Comes with hand crank, working underbonnet light, and external plug in bonnet light, period but not original toolkit, ORIGINAL REMOVAL RADIO WITH KEY.
The car gets lots of attention here in Ukraine and has featured with the local classic car club.
Although not out of the factory spec, a very good example of this piece of history.
UPDATE 17. 10. 2024 - Currently working through car - EVERYTHING WORKS, replaced a lot of parts and fixed issues including (with original parts);
Interior lights, fuel gauge, indicators, main headlights, sidelights, rear lights, some switches, oil pressure sensor, some cosmetic interior and exterior items, side indicators, radio aerial, tuned up carburetors and engine so running very well, bonnet catch, boot catch, steering wheel, indicator stalk and more.
UPDATE 13. 11. 2024 - Boot and bonnet adjusted, new spark pugs, new oil pressure sensor installed, new distributor cable fitted, horn works as it should.
Everything now works on the vehicle as it should - Work in progress: Just a couple of cosmetic things left to do - Refresh paint and white wall tyres, new front seats as small hole on drivers side.
I have pictures of the restoration. I've organised somewhere in the UK for the vehicle to be stored and registered.
Recently met with the president of the local classic car club in Ukraine and attended an event în Dnipro, I've attached some pictures.
Pricing is speculative and open to serious offers. Please get in touch if you want more information and or pictures / video. Can even arrange a video call. Piece of Soviet History
Good examples rare in Ukraine and eastern Europe, even rarer in the west.
Desriable colour for this model.
