Description
What can I say. Here's my fantastic 914, in stunning overall condition, and now in her 50th year.
I've been lucky to own her for just over a year now, but as I like to change my cars every year to experience different marks and models, she reluctantly has to go, and I do say reluctantly, as she's great to drive and attracts loads of attention wherever she goes.
* Highlights*
* Beautifully presented - with the body being restored in 2017 and recently detailed.
* Desirable and rare, one-year-only paint colour: Berber Yellow.
* Numbers matching one-year-only 1800cc engine with twin carburettors, reconditioned 2018.
* Stunning interior with bespoke tartan seat centres which complements the exterior.
* Runs and drives great, with strong performance and go-kart like handling.
* Full appearance pack.
* Always carefully garage stored when not in use.
She's had tens of thousands spent on her over the years to keep her in this condition, with the engine also reconditioned getting new oil seals, camshaft, pistons, barrels, heads, and a new clutch fitted, completing just over 2000 miles since.
This year model also has the improved side shift gearbox linkage for changing gears. A vast improvement over the earlier cars.
The braking system was also refreshed with new calipers and handbrake cables. New external door handles, passenger door mirror, chrome windscreen trim, rubbers etc. The front and rear bumpers are also in excellent condition, with the same applying to the removable targa top.
Appearance package consisting of OEM three gauge centre console, centre arm rest with storage compartment, leather covered steering wheel, front fog lamps and dual horns.
Also fitted is an electronic Immobiliser, period Grundig radio, genuine Porsche Fuchs alloy wheels, and comes complete with two spare keys. Overall, she's an excellent example of a rare one year only model with a unique tartan touch, she's not concours perfect, and being super critical, there are five tiny paint marks on the exterior which are really difficult to see, but I have a tin of paint, just not deemed it necessary. She really stands out from the crowd especially with the included private number plate. Mot expired 21/ 5/ 2024 but naturally she's mot and tax exempt. Large box file of paperwork including previous V5's, invoices going back many years for services, parts, respray and restorative work on the body and engine, old mot's, tax discs. Original user manual, repair guides, info books, engineering specifications booklet.
Also present are the jack, toolkit, and a few spares as well, oil filter, gaskets, rubber trim items, speednuts, indicator lenses, bulbs etc to name a few.
