Description
Reluctantly selling my old C Class. It's been a lovely daily driver. There are good and not so good bits to this motor and I'll be brutally honest so please read if you're thinking of buying. Upon purchasing I replaced the mats and bonnet star. I also took it to Liverpools best independent Mercedes specialist and had it looked over (also where it passed its MOT with zero advisories). So apart from being a lovely car that looks great and has fantastic future classic status there is some bits that need addressing. The unit in the headlining needs either replacing or a fuse swapped out. It's the part that controls the sunroof and the front cabin lights. The fuse for the front door cards (controls front electric windows and central locking) needs swapped. In terms of electrical issues for a car of its age that's minor and also probably less than a tenner to fix. Mechanically it's spot on apart from the prop shaft giving a bit of a vibration under hard acceleration. Merc specialist has pointed this out also and has informed me it's a straightforward fix that is common with these old beasts. Cosmetically there a few scuffs which a past owner has decided to cover themselves (pictures). Didn't do a fantastic job but at least they tried. However it's nothing major and the car still looks great. There is a sag in the headlining but it's handily sorted if you're that way inclined. Please email if you're interested. I'm not after a quick sale so no silly offers but I am open to anything sensible or potentially a swap. I was after one of these for a long time. On the motorway it’s a lovely drive. Stick it in cruise control and it eats up the miles. Around town it looks fantastic as there just aren’t many on the road anymore. The big boxy shape is now long gone in current cars as is the build quality.
