This BMW E46 M3 3. 2L is a well-maintained example, in great condition for an 18-year-old car, having covered only 62, 331 miles. This June 2006 example is one of the very last produced, a superb looking convertible finished in Carbon Black metallic with an Imola Red leather interior, a black soft top and diamond-cut alloys. It features a sequential manual gearbox, an automated manual transmission that you can operate using the paddle shifters on the steering wheel or the gear lever in the centre console.
M3 enthusiasts associate three characteristics with the E46 factory code: pure driving pleasure, a beguiling sound, and a legendary special model status. This is due to its lightweight construction and the high-rev concept of its inline 6-cylinder engine. This car represents excellent value for money, being the pioneer of BMW’s now well-established high-rev concept, where it only requires the next gear at just under 8, 000 revolutions. Being a later E46 model, it boasts widened fenders and special side skirts that help improve aerodynamics. This also applies to the so-called Gurney flap at the rear: the small spoiler lip noticeably reduces lift, thereby improving traction – crucial in faster corners.
This M3 comes with all the factory manuals and an extensive service history. In addition to a fresh MOT (valid until August 2025), it includes a desirable hard-top as well as a purposeful stand for those summer months in soft-top-mode. For modern-day convenience, the radio has been replaced by a Pioneer CarPlay system (as seen in the pictures), however the old radio comes with the car should the new owner wish to convert it back to original spec. It has had only two other owners in the last 10 years, with nine owners in total.
